End User License Agreements
Most software licenses sold are governed by the standard End User License Agreement (EULA) . This includes single and multi-computer licenses. These licenses are sold on a per-computer basis. Concurrent licenses are not available. Unlimited single-site licenses are also addressed in the EULA.
Educational Licenses
The following types of schools are eligible for educational licenses: primary, secondary and post-secondary institutions which have teaching as a core component of their educational mission. Public and private schools are recognized regardless of non-profit status.

The educational volume licensing program (VLP) for SecureCRT and SecureFX is available to accredited schools and universities throughout the US and Canada. Nonprofit Organizations
At present VanDyke Software does not have special discounts for nonprofit organizations other than schools and universities. Standard license prices apply to nonprofit organizations.
VanDyke Software security products are available worldwide under U.S. Bureau of Industry and Security regulations governing strong encryption software. Other countries may impose import restrictions as well.
SecureCRT®, SecureFX® and the VanDyke ClientPack may be downloaded by users worldwide after an automated export screen. VShell® may be downloaded by users from the 31 countries listed below, and other customers may request software from VanDyke Sales.
SecureCRT, SecureFX and VanDyke ClientPack Export
SecureCRT, SecureFX, and VanDyke ClientPack licenses can be sold to customers worldwide under the unrestricted status provisions of the 'ENC' export license exemption. Under ENC rules, export licenses are not required. The export control classification number (ECCN) is 5D002.
Unrestricted export status allows export to individuals, companies, and foreign government users, with an export check for denied parties. Export is not allowed to countries where commerce is prohibited under U.S. trade sanctions or to certain individuals and companies - see Sanctioned Countries and Denied Parties below.
VShell Export

VShell software is available for immediate download from any of the 31 countries listed below. Outside those countries, VShell software may be evaluated and licensed for personal, commercial, and most government use. To request software releases from outside these 31 countries, please contact VanDyke Sales.
VShell can be exported worldwide under the 'ENC' export license exemption. Note that this is a different set of regulations than the 'unrestricted ENC' distribution for SecureCRT and SecureFX. Under ENC rules, export licenses are not required. The ECCN is 5D002.
VShell can be downloaded from Canada and the following member states of the European Union (EU) 'license-free zone' without restriction on the type of use.

Sanctioned Countries and Denied Parties
The following are countries where sales of strong encryption technology are prohibited.
Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria
The U.S. Departments of State, Treasury, and Commerce maintain lists of companies, organizations, and individuals with which U.S. companies are prohibited from trading. VanDyke is required to screen all export sales against these lists. Orders may be cancelled based on screening results.
Definition of 'Government end-user'

A government end-user is any foreign central, regional or local government department, agency, or other entity performing governmental functions; including governmental research institutions, governmental corporations or their separate business units (as defined in part 772 of the EAR) which are engaged in the manufacture or distribution of items or services controlled on the Wassenaar Munitions List, and international governmental organizations. This term does not include: utilities (including telecommunications companies and internet service providers); banks and financial institutions; transportation; broadcast or entertainment; educational organizations; civil health and medical organizations; retail or wholesale firms; and manufacturing or industrial entities not engaged in the manufacture or distribution of items or services controlled on the Wassenaar Munitions List.
